We spent three weeks in the UK over Christmas and New Year visiting relatives and catching up with friends. Mainly it rained, a little bit of sunshine and all the fun and excitement went by in a flash. Before we knew it we were back home in sunny Hawkes Bay. Below are a few memories: Langton Long church - Christmas Day Christmas lunch - all the trimmings! Boxing day walk at the beach. Flooded fields. Iwerne Minster butcher, an old favourite. Bedroom view of thatched cottage in need of repair. Christmas decos in London Covent Garden, decorated. Borough Market An entire morning spent here in the fabric and haberdashery department.

The first cut December 2013 Some of the lavender that I use in my fabric lavender hearts is grown in pots dotted around my home. Last week I cut my first bunches to hang and dry for a few weeks before stripping them to collect the sweet smelling rubbings for next years handmades. Only a week to Christmas day so now is the time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and a BIG thankyou to my customers. I'll be back mid January.
